The National Association of Asian American Professionals-New York is a non-profit professional organization that promotes the career advancement and leadership development of Asian American professionals in all fields through networking, respecting Asian multiculturalism, and supporting diversity and community service. There are currently 24 chapters, ventures, and affiliates across the country and a growing national membership of over 3,000.

National Association of Asian American Professionals ­ New York (NAAAP-NY) is a 501(c)(3) volunteer-based nonprofit organization comprised of professionals, entrepreneurs and graduate students in the New York Metropolitan area. Established in 1982, NAAAP is the premier leadership development proving ground for Asian American Professionals with over 3500 members representing 21 cities from coast to coast across the continental U.S. and Canada.

Mission:

To provide a broad range of Asian American professional and educational services that meets the needs of individuals, corporations and government through the efforts, experiences, talents and dedication of our volunteers.The purposes for which the Corporation and its Chapter corporations are organized are scientific and educational within the meaning of Section 501c3 of the Internal Revenue Service including:

  • The support of activities enterprises and organizations committed to the betterment of the Asian community; Fostering increased communication, interaction and exchange of ideas among members through formal and informal gatherings;
  • Learning new skills and acquiring knowledge from other members and recognized professionals through seminars and presentations;
  • Promoting the cultural heritage of Asian Americans;
  • Educating the Asian community on issues which affect their interests and participating in activites that lead to the equal opportunity and fair treatment of all Asian Americans;
    The conduct of any and all other activities as shall from time to time be found appropriate in connection with the foregoing and as are lawful for not-for-profit corporations.
