NAAAP New York is divided into six committees that serve different needs. Find committee that interests you today

APA Relations
The Asian Pacific American (APA) Leadership Committee provide members with the opportunity to build and cultivate long-term relationships with current and prospective corporate organizations, business contacts, and career opportunities. Members participate in the selection process of APA Leadership candidates and networking with APA groups. Come join the growth in the number of Asian American professional networks or affinity groups (APA groups) established within corporations. Please contact Thomas Sim tom@naaapny.org for information.

Community and Public Service
The Community/Public Service Committee provides a variety of volunteer opportunities and other events to help engage NAAAP members in community outreach efforts. Talk Tuesdays are held on the second Tuesday of almost every month. This informal networking event is for not-for-profit professionals and student groups to meet and greet each other, learn about each other's groups, and establish new partnerships. Other events include Annual Asian Pacific American Heritage Festival, NAAAP Cares, Holiday Toy Drive and Dinner. Contact Community Service jerry@naaapny.org for information.

Social and Cultural
The Social/Cultural Committee supports activities that raise the cultural awareness and enhance the perception of Asian Americans. NAAAP-NY encourages its members to attend performances, visit museums and support the arts of different cultures of our Asian American community. Events may include museum visit, cooking demonstration, ski trip, comedy performance, theater performance, architectural walking tour, annual picnic, film screening, music concert, author reading, bowling party, dance performance. Professional Development
The Professional Development Committee develops programs, which address the needs and concerns of Asian Americans as they enter the workforce,
advance in their careers and become leaders in their profession and in the Asian American community. The committee coordinates networking events, seminars, educational workshops, speaking engagements, and gathers resources to help NAAAP members further their professional development. Scholarship Awards
Through the support of NAAAP-NY members and corporate sponsors, NAAAP- NY has established a fund for the purpose of assisting and encouraging promising Asian American students who seek higher educational opportunities. Committee members participate in the selection process of scholarship candidates, including the review of applications and final interviews. Talk Tuesday
Talk Tuesday helps members network informally every month with not only NAAAPNY members, but also other Asian Pacific American not-for-profit groups. NAAAPNY is the founder and one of co-host for Talk Tuesdays where different Asian Pacific American organization partner with us to ensure integration and understandings among the Asian American organization in the New York City area.
