Many of you have expressed interest in NAAAP-NY leadership and volunteer opportunities. Are you a NAAAP-NY member and want to become more involved in a leadership capacity? Do you want to build and exercise your skills for a leading Asian American organization that plans major professional development and community events?

If your answer is ˜Yes!” to either one of these question, then consider becoming a NAAAP-NY Board Member. As a Board Member, you will work closely with the Officers and other board members to help set NAAAP-NY policies and direction, identify strategic areas for growth, and steer the organization in continuing to carry out its mission statement.

We are looking for candidates who strongly connect to NAAAP-NY’s mission of promoting workplace diversity and professional development among Asian professionals. Passion and commitment to contribute to NAAAP-NY is a must.

This volunteer position is open to all NAAAP-NY members in good standing. It is preferred, but not required, that members have at least one year membership status. This is a two-year term position. Attendance to at least 75% of the Board meetings held within a calendar year is expected. Twelve meetings, once a month, are held at midtown Manhattan locations. Also, attendance to represent NAAAP-NY at our Scholarship & Leadership Dinner and Leadership Forum is expected.

Officer positions such as President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary are also available. These positions are one year terms and they will be voted in by the board in January.

If you are interested in nominating someone (or yourself) for a Board of Director or committee lead position, please send in the following:
