The message was loud and clear -- It was a SUCCESS!!

The 2003 Scholarship & Leadership Awards Dinner was truly a memorable evening. It was exciting to have so many distinguished leaders under one roof. We even had an impromptu performance by Welly Yang, Founder and Artistic Director of Second Generation who entertained the group by singing "Make Them Hear You" from Ragtime. Welly said: "It was a wonderful evening. Very sincere. The APA honorees were touched by the awards."

The same sentiment was echoed by Cindy Hsu, our Keynote speaker from CBS 2 New York. "Very touching. You go to many events like this and you see the same people being honored just because they are famous. Here, people who are doing the work are being recognized for their contribution. It was an emotional evening. Goes to the heart."

The evening's success was a direct result of contributions for many sources. We thank our corporate partners, silent auction sponsors, honorees, keynote speaker, media and all attendees in helping us achieve our goal. We are excited to announce that your support has helped us raise funds to sponsor at least two scholarship next year to outstanding Asian-Pacific American students.
