Susan (Sung Eun) Im – Board Member
Susan is a member of the Board of Directors at NAAAP NY.
Susan was born in Seoul, South Korea and grew up in Brooklyn, NY. Her immigrant experience informs who she is and has led her to advocate for those that are in the minority. Her favorite quote is "Be the person you needed when you were younger" and she is committed to giving back and supporting the next generation of leaders through mentoring and coaching. She works with several non-profit organizations (NAAAP, APIA and TwoTen Foundation) as a mentor and advisor.
Susan is a Business leader that puts People first. Throughout her 25+ year career in Retail, she has built successful brands and high performing teams while also creating community. While at Macy’s, she helped launch the Employee Resource Groups and was the Sponsor for the Asian American ERG for 9 years. She strives to build inclusive climates where everyone can contribute and realize their full potential. She has always been passionate about leadership and employee engagement through the lens of DEIB. She earned her Diversity and Inclusion Certificate from Cornell in September 2020 and is a Certified Professional Diversity Coach. Through Coaching, she was able to see blind spots and navigate roadblocks and she wants to help you do the same.
